The driver of the car will probably come from another type of motorsport

Trackhouse is more than a racing team, it’s a brand. Everything they do is just a little different from anyone else.

The team currently has two NASCAR Cup Series entries. The no. 99 is piloted by Daniel Suarez and the no. 1 is piloted by Ross Chastain.

The team was born out of a single entry in 2020. This was followed by the purchase of Chip Ganassi Racing in 2021, opening the door for the second full-time entry in 2022.

About an hour ago, the team announced plans to field a third Cup-level starter. However, based on the limited promotion surrounding him so far, it looks like the driver will come from outside the traditional NASCAR ladder system.

In a video promoting the new car, they used music videos from F1, INDYCAR and RALLYCROSS. This leads us to believe that the pilots of the no. 91 probably won’t come with an oval racing bottom.

” Who drives ? PROJECT91 will announce its first driver and first race in the coming days.
