A rare 1994 Subaru Prodrive 555 Group A goes on sale at Lloyds Auctions and is expected to gross over $ 1 million.

This World Rally Championship car was driven by Colin McRae and Carlos Sainz and has been found completely intact since his retirement in 1996.

“When we first saw this car, it was a barn find valued at between $ 15,000 and $ 20,000. Today its history has been washed and verified, and it could well be worth over $ 1 million, ”said Lee Hames, COO of Lloyds Auctions.

This vehicle was the first to carry the famous L555REP license plates, celebrating Repsol’s sponsorship with Carlos Sainz and Subaru.

The Subaru is an original authenticated by ICAAARS and Possum Bourne Motor Sport (PBMS) and has only been stored by three owners since its race.

It still comes with its original two-liter turbocharged engine and six-speed manual gearbox.

“It is a unique opportunity to own such a unique vehicle and we are honored to pass it on to the new caretakers,” said Mr. Hames.

A 1971 Ford Falcon GTHO Phase 3 finished in Yellow Glo, one of only 12 ever built, is also offered, along with vehicles from the Hollywood movie Mad Max Fury Road.
