JEFFERSONVILLE – After missing the previous two Saturday nights, due to July 4th and rain, the races were back in full force on Saturday night at Sportsdrome Speedway.

Last Saturday night’s washed-out feature, the 33rd annual Bud Light Mania Twin 45s for the Modified Figure 8 division, was one of the events highlighted on Saturday’s map. Jeremy Mitchell collected a car full of trophies as he won both segments en route to the overall event championship. Andy Perryman, Jeff Roberts, Mike Berry and Tim Slucher round out the top five.

The first Ford event of the evening was the popular Powderpuff, which was won by Miranda Basham, who also won races at Salem Speedway and Thunder Valley Raceway this year.

In Race 8 FWD Pro Oval, fastest qualifier Brandon Dalton won the checkered flag, followed by Jamie Bierman Harbin.

Harbin then followed his teammate, Basham, into the victory circle by winning the first 30-lap Ford Oval A feature. Jacob Robertson won the second feature film of 30 rounds.

The Sportsman Division saw Nick Reed take the checkered flag.

The last race of the evening was the 40-lap Ford Figure 8 feature, which featured a $ 100 bonus added by driver Butch Winters. Paul Hartlage won the race, while Robertson was second.

The action continues at the Sportsdrome this Saturday evening, which is titled “Night of Destruction” and will include an additional School Bus Figure 8 race.
