MOORESVILLE, NC – Young’s Motorsports announced Monday that the iconic black and gold colors of Des Moines, Iowa-based TMC Transportation will return to the Knoxville circuit with the full-time NASCAR Series driver Xfinity Michael Annett at the helm of the # 02 Silverado Chevrolet this weekend.

Annett, from Des Moines, Iowa, is making his return to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, which last saw him compete in 2014 at Eldora Speedway.

Annett also participated in eight Truck Series events in 2008.

The Knoxville Raceway holds fond memories for Annett and TMC Transportation, as TMC President Harrold Annett, who passed away earlier this year, owned the No.12 Mickow Sprinter which raced at Knoxville Raceway in the 1970s and 1980s on a base weekly.

Driver Mike Brooks won the track title for Annett in 1980, thanks to eight feature-length victories. Annett enjoyed great success in the ’80s and’ 90s with driver Sammy Swindell achieving numerous track wins behind the wheel of the # 1 TMC Sprint car.

The No.02 will feature a decal on the deck cover in honor of Harrold ‘Annett’s 2007 induction into the Knoxville Raceway Hall of Fame.

Annett is proud to bring the colors of TMC Transportation back to Knoxville on Friday night.

“It’s my dream to race in Knoxville for as far as I can remember, I can’t thank Tyler (Young, team manager) and Young’s Motorsports enough for giving me the opportunity.”

Tyler Young of Young’s Motorsports is delighted to welcome Annett to his team.

“Michael is a huge addition to the Young’s Motorsports team this weekend in Knoxville,” said Young. “We believe he has the ability to provide our organization with another top 10 this season in such a prestigious race which also has a lot of sentimental value not only for himself but for the entire Annett family and TMC Transportation.”
